Off-Week

I’m am exhausted. Worn down. Feeling sick. And yet all this does nothing to diminish the elation I feel after giving my all for five straight weeks. One week off isn’t much, but it couldn’t come at a better time or be more welcome. I write this from Abilene, where I’m house-hunting with Adam Hollifield. I’m getting very excited about living here this year, with people like Josh Kirby, Jason Cooper, Ross Callarman, the Lauras (Davis and Bean), and so many other old friends. I feel like this blog will be heavily influenced by their words and actions.

More than two hundred children have passed through Camp of the Hills this summer, and more than three hundred more are scheduled to come. Pray that we find more counselors. Pray for us to have patience. Pray that once we’ve finished this leg of the race, we will have no regrets.
